What is Heavy Tungsten Alloy Moulds?

• Heavy tungsten alloy is a tungsten based alloy material (tungsten content is generally 80% - 98%), which contains a small amount of nickel, iron, copper, Cu, Co, Mo, Cr and other elements. The density of high specific gravity tungsten alloy can reach 15.20~18.70g/cm3, which is also called high specific gravity tungsten alloy or high density alloy material. Because the weight of tungsten alloy is more than twice that of steel.
• A common method of manufacturing heavy tungsten alloys is to mix the required tungsten, iron, nickel or copper powder, and then cold press and liquid phase sintering to near full density. In the process of liquid phase treatment, the base tungsten alloy melts, making part of tungsten enter the solution to form large dispersed tungsten particles (20~60 μ m).
